Makerere University (Mak) in partnership with Moi University and University of Bergen received a grant from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) to establish a project entitled “HI-TRAIN: Health Informatics Training and Research in East Africa for Improved Health Care”. HI-TRAIN is under the NORHED programme within Norad.
HI-TRAIN now invites applications for a full-time two year Masters programme – Master of Science in Health Informatics. The Masters programme is tenable at Moi University, Eldoret, Kenya. The programme will begin in the academic year 2015/2016 in September 2015.
The deadline for the applications is Monday 4th/June/2015; at 3:00pm/15hours
Qualifications for suitable candidates
Meet the common Moi University School of Medicine Graduate studies Committee (SOMGSC) entry requirements as they refer to Master of Science Programmes
Pass admission interviews as determined by the Departmental Postgraduate Committee.
Must have graduated in the year 2014 or 2015 with a first class degree.
Must be willing to undertake teaching on the Health Informatics program at Makerere University upon graduation.
A Bachelor’s Degree in the Health Sciences from Makerere University OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Computing or related discipline from Makerere University.
